    HerAndNowHere & Now Theatre Festival, 6th to 15th May, Mannheim

    For the third time, the "Here & Now Theatre Festival" graces Mannheim's TIG7 venue.

    Located in the inner city square G7, the theatre presents

    a house production of Martin Crimp's "The Country"

    as well as diverse visiting shows from London and Bristol, and a co-production of Manchester and Leeds drama professionals with local ensemble members.

    The festival runs from 6th to 15th May and also offers a variety of discussions and workshops to offer audiences face-to-face encounters with the artists.

    A lively review, in the company of the author, Charles Darwin, of the reactions to the book that shook the world just over one hundred and fifty years ago.
    On November 24th, 1859, at 9.46 a.m., the first copy of ‘The Origin of Species’ was sold in an obscure little bookshop in London. Within a few hours the title was out of stock and very soon hordes of critics – clergymen as well as scientists – were either foaming with rage or roaring with laughter……..

    'Dreampark’ in Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

    This dramatisation of the famous Bronte classic novel condenses Jane’s sad life and its many influences, from the abusive cousin to the school years as student and teacher and to meeting Mr. Rochester.
